Conversation with jordan owner of Inspectology
This the conversation I had with Jordan owner of Inspectology until he stopped replying. He would not answer the phone or return my calls either.
Maurice,
My name is Jordan Bird, the owner of Inspectology (formally BrickKicker). I'm so sorry that you're having so many issues with your home, so thank you for taking the time to send in this information. I was taking a look at the inspection report when I was notified of your call and wanted to know if any of the items we noted in the report (temporary supports in the basement, damaged joists, termite damage, etc) were addressed by the seller or was your purchase an as-is contract?
I am currently out of town however I will be reviewing the report in full so that I can address all of your issues.
Please respond at your earliest convenience.
Thank you
Jordan Bird

Hello Jordan, Thank for getting back to me. I do not believe these issues were noted. The temporary supports are not the problem according to the experts I had in here. I was only told of one damaged joist by the inspectors and told that it still met the the requirements because it it a thick board. I was not told of termite damage but see it noted a "possible" but have no idea where in the house that pic was taken. There is a photo of a paint can in the report with a snake skin on it. That paint can is holding that corner of the floor up. There is no mention of the floors in the house tilting there is no mention of a 2" sinkage. There is mention that the wood support beam put in near that paint can is 2" short. Which is the end of the house that is sinking.

It’s hard to show you that the floors are uneven that's why there are doorway pictures so that you can see the slant in the doorway. The work room and the bathroom next to it have the most cracks on the walls showing settling and shifting. I don't know what the standard threshold entry level is but was told ours from the living room to dining room may be to high at 1". We have stubbed a few toes. My mother tripped on it while staying here recovering for from an car accident and fell hurting her wrist.

Thank you for getting back to me. Did your agent order a termite inspection? We are not termite inspectors and typically most agents order them on their clients behalf as the contract allows for repairs to be made if treatment is needed. I did not see this in your order. Again, was this an as is sale or did you get the seller to make any repairs? Do you have the written Reports from the structural engineer that came out to observe the damage? When would you say most of the settlement started?
Thanks in advance for answering these questions. I would like to come out and take a look at the house next week if that is possible?

Fanny Farton( Name changed for public because he threatened me with defamation of character) was my agent who was one of your employees until this his first sale. I do not recall a termite inspection order. It was pretty much an as is. She had the electric box fixed. Yes I have the written Report from the structural engineer. I can not say when the settlement started only that we noticed the floors slanted as we moved in. We had to put blocks and shims under furniture to level them. The sinking in the kitchen was noticed again after moving-in we could feel the sinking to the center. Looking in the crawl space there is no support under the island.

I had a second inspector not the structural engineer walk through the house and he pointed out the drywall on the basement ceiling as possible asbestos and it is.

Maurice,
Asbestos was noted in the house during the inspection (in the flooring). If you could send me photos of the drywall that would be helpful.
I have copied the scope of our inspection below.
systems and conditions which are not within the scope of the building inspection include, but are not limited to: formaldehyde, lead paint, asbestos, toxic or flammable materials, and other environmental hazards; pest infestation, playground equipment, efficiency measurement of insulation or heating and cooling equipment, internal or underground drainage or plumbing, any systems which are shut down or otherwise secured; water wells (water quality and quantity) zoning ordinances; intercoms; security systems; heat sensors; cosmetics or building code conformity.
Did you possibly have the tiles or any other surfaces (we noted potential lead-based paint) evaluated after it was noted in the inspection process?

The tile that you noted is at the top of the stairs and is intact. The asbestos drywall is above the beam and support post in the basement. Also a month ago when we were having the rain for 2 weeks the ceiling was leaking upstairs. When we looked we found that there is a bucket and a bowl in the crawl space above the master bathroom. This now answers why are kitchen and downstairs bathroom have water marks on them the water has been leaking through the walls
